The Apple Blossom Festival began in 1920 by Mrs. E Wagner who expressed her desire to see something resembling to the festivities held in her native New Zealand when the local apple orchards were blooming. After its success, in 1933 the first official Apple Blossom Festival was celebrated with Reg Caldwell as President. It occurs during last weekend of April to first weekend of May. It is held in Wenatchee, Washington in the United States.
The 14 days festival includes several events like pie contests, crafts booths, a parade, royalty, food and children activities.
