The Ogden Pioneer Days is celebrated to remember Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers who entered in Utah’s Salt Lake Valley in 1847. It was commenced in 1934 by Mayor Harman W. Peery who organized a Western festival to boost the spirits of locals and visitors who visit the city. It is celebrated on 24th July in Ogden, Utah in the United States.
There is a state holiday on this day. The festival includes Rodeo and horse racing, crafts, games, parade, dancing, music and fireworks. Children take part in essay contests and pioneer projects.
