The New Jersey Folk Festival is celebrated with a goal to protect and preserve the culture, music and arts of New Jersey. The festival was created in 1975. It is held on the last Saturday of April on the extensive grounds of the Eagleton Institute (Woodlawn), at the side of George Street and Ryder Lane in New Brunswick, NJ in the United States.

The heritage theme focuses on folk music, crafts and other traditions of a national, regional or cultural heritage found in the state. The event features a children’s activities area, a juried craft market, a delicious array of food choices, four stages of music, dance, and workshops, a folk marketplace and a heritage area which exhibits each year’s cultural or geographical theme of the town.
