The Florida Folk Festival was started in 1953 to spotlight and glorify Florida’s folk, traditions and cultures. It is a three day festival celebrated on Memorial Day weekend. It is one of the oldest folk festivals held at Stephen Foster State Park in White Springs in the United States and is produced by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Recreation and Parks.
The festival features storytelling, folk music and folk dance, art and craft displays and delicious food. The talented national songwriters and musicians perform variety of genres including jazz, bluegrass, country, gospel, swing, folk, blues, Latin, Caribbean and zydeco.
