The Calle Ocho festival or El Festival de la Calle Ocho festival was started by Willy Bermello for the people of different traditions and races to be able to feel comfortable with each other. It is the single largest celebration of Hispanic culture. It takes place each year in March between 27th Ave and 4th Ave in Miami, Florida in the United States.
It is a one-day “rumba” fiesta that concludes the Miami Carnival. One can hear balada, bachata, hip hop, salsa, reggeaton, merengue, and much more. It is the world’s largest street party filled with youth sites, musical stages, food vendors and folkloric sites.
